    Which watch?
I also have a garmin watch, which is what sold me to garmin stuff.
    I have the vivoactive

    • It's the Forerunner 220 with HRM - see doesn't need / use the monitor (still in the cellophane unopened) so going to sling it on eBay as it looks to be compatible with a lot of their gear

Post ride you press stop then you get an option to save or discard. Choose save and it uploads it to garmin via your phone. About 10-15 seconds later your phone buzzes to tell you your strava ride is ready.
So, 2 presses. Everything else is auto.
(unless you don't have connection to your phone when you press stop. Then it queues for sending until it makes contact with phone again)

Heart rate data is sent too, so suffer score is there for your viewing pleasure.
Once its on Garmin then, is it automatically on Strava too? So you have ride in two places as such, or do you then have to garmin > strava?

Edit: although think sas may have answered this

        • From when I set up the Mrs' watch it appears it natively synchs with Garmin Connect (their app) so had to install this as well as Strava - but then authorising a connection / share with Strava it auto synchs with Strava seconds after uploading to Garmin Connect

          • As TB says.
Garmin auto uploads to garmin connect, Garmin connect auto feeds to strava.
So yes, copies of ride are held both in strava and garmin connect.

The experience is that you finish your ride and 10 seconds later browse it on strava.

            • Three solutions. One, I try to video the end of a ride so you can see it.
Two, you borrow it, load up the software and trial it.
Three, we have an Aria mtb day and you experience #discobike too

Planning something for Friday if the weather holds, and probably another day of the weekend. Not sure on a solo trip into the ills just yet though

How come? I don't think the risk factor is any higher than solo-ing a towpath, if you have a mechanical you have a mechanical Plus sometimes its nice to sit top o the hills, with just yourself and wife

Lack of navigational skills and knowledge of the area lol. Don't worry, this weekend will feature something special even if it is towpath-esqe lol

Glad you liked the vid .
