  • Ooooooooooooooooh those Bronson future thinking plans, i'd be getting them up next weekend for when she turns up I'd love a hang my bike from front wheel if I had somewhere appropriate, looks rad, and makes space, missus wasn't impressed with my idea for one in the kitchen though

I AM CORNHOLIO, I NEED TP.....

    https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.23...7i13312!8i6656

I always see these laybys but never find out how to get to them, good tip lol Do you go down the main drive to dela itself then and right through down that road which leads to old pale, or drive straight past and don't turn in at all?

I've been out to get some storage lil shelve things today for the office, for bike related goodness, rucksack, helmet, tools there usually dotted about the house, and have an area under the eaves they'll fit perfect, pics to follow.

    • Get one mounted in the kitchen and hang some pots and pans from it then slowly move them with a big Santa Cruz reveal in a few weeks time

If your coming from Manc your probs on the A556 and turn off that right onto B5152 (Station Road).

You would usually then turn left at Dela station which takes you along the road past Go Ape then the Cafe then the Car Park to Old Pale - Shown as yellow bellow (OP is Blue)

DONT turn off at the station - carry on past (on Station Road - red on the below) -go for a few miles - you will pass the lake on your left and then you come to a small village (Hatchmere) - drive through this and you come to a Crossroad - turn left onto Ashton Road

There are laybys from a mile or so in - carry on going and you will pass a Dela Forrest Car Park on your left, go past that over the next slight hill and then grab a layby on the right next to the signs for logging road and the great big piles of logs

            • The more I look at it I think google maps have mislabed Dela and that forest part thing is private, looks like a swanky yellow brick road goes right through it.

                        • Can I also ask, do you keep a spare cassette at all times?
I've only bought them when I need them. Ditto with chains, although I definitely see the wisdom in having a spare chain in stock

Got it free in mucoff sponge, cleaner pack. Its the worst thing i've ever used, only good for cable ends/spot in mech joints, theres probably better for this too but the long neck makes application easy for the hard to reach front mech spring.

On the chain, in one dusty summer ride it was the worst carnage I ever did see Tried in winter and its a no go product. Squirt seems best i've found, with purple extreme close second.

PS they should rename is MUCON ruin lube

Chains handy if fitted chain is proper filth and don't have time to do a white spirit bath, swaps out in seconds with wippermann link. One of those cassettes is a noisy XT one, went to Sram and it quietened down, not sure if combo of KMC chain and XT cass isn't good? as XT cassettes got good reviews. The others a spare.
