I wouldn't sleep like that/put up with that, even for £500 profit. Going too far lol

      • It wasn't the heat from mining, there's just no air flow going through the house

        • That was one mad storm last night. Lightning for hours. I was woken up loads of times as I crashed out about 11ish last night.
My local hospital has a sign which reads "This way for accidents and emergencies." Haven't people in hospital got enough to worry about without looking for further misfortune?

                    • Likewise. The only damage I've seen so far (not including small to medium sized branches and everyone's recycling blowing down the street!) was a fence a couple of doors down has lost a few panels.

Our house is built in to hill, and so the rear is 3 stories tall. It's also pretty much the first thing any weather hits when it comes in our direction - I genuinely thought the roof was going to depart at a few points in the night.

                      • Didn't sleep a wink last night, tips on how to sleep when it sounds like roof is getting ripped off every 5 minutes?

Shattered and need more coffee, or redbull!

                              • So it's a bit foggy this morning. Good old Daily Express wins the award for most sensationalist headline:

Britain’s ‘RADIATION’ fog: UK to be hit by CHOKING SMOG as Met Office issues warning
Radation Fog.... I mean, I know it's a thing, but talk about trying for clickbait. To everyone else, the weather is "ooh. it's a bit misty outside".
