        This is what all the guitars look like in Chernobyl.

          What's the point? I don't think I heard any notes which ordinary guitars can't play in that video.

          But then, I have no clue about music, so...

            Nice bit of finger picking, the other strings have no frets so they are set to a certain note, the high notes may be a bit more difficult on the guitar.

              @Col

              Think I heard a J# in there

              It's nice for letting notes ring out, but apart from that pretty useless.

                If an ordinary guitar could make all those noises, no one would make bass guitars.

                This is affectively an electronic instrument in the style of some of the instruments used in a baroque orchestra.

                It is always fun watching, and hearing, someone play a Theorbo.

                    I play guitar now and again (Not very well) and 5 is enough!
                    However it is a very good idea. As said, Each of the top strings are bass notes. A bass guitar normally has 4 strings and a fret board so you can play different notes. He only has 2 hands so cant play 2 fretboards at the same time hence so many strings tuned to different notes.
                    Just by picking one of the bass strings and letting it ring for a while makes a huge difference to the sound the guitar makes.

                    Great idea and i bet not that hard to learn to play. Just a guitar and need to learn where to put the bass notes in

                    Sign of a good guitar player. Long on the right for picking, Short on the left for frets.

                    I cant stand long finger nails so i dont pick notes, Just use a plectrum.
