  • window 7 64 bit not game friendly is it true??

    hello guys,

    i would like to upgrade my os to window 7 pro 64 bit so i can fully utilize 4gb ram etc. i heard that 64 bit platform it not game friendly, driver issue etc. it ths true?

    i've never heard any thing bad about win7 64.

    i smell a post count bumper.

      that used to be the case in WinXP64, and the issue was normally driver related.

      I've had Win7 64 Ultimate since the beta days, never had any issues at all. Use that ram (says the man with a 16Gb machine)

        Problems with 64bit OS' and drivers have been pretty much cured since vista, definitely gone in 7.

            I also have never had any game or hardware problems with Windows 7 x64.

                Agreed. Xp 64 was awful, vista was better, windows 7 64bit is fine. In fact I would say there is no point considering any other flavour.

                  Echoing everyone else really. Whoever told you that, give them a slap. Win 7 64 bit has not had trouble running any application I have thrown at it.

                    Win 7 64 bit is kin ace.....not come across a single game issue..... and come to think of it...not had a bluescreen that I can remember!!
