Can I please ask if this PSU is a good one for basic use,

    Antec VP700P 700W PSU

as my 500 Watt OCZ PSU has just blown,

    I run a i5 750 cpu with water cooling,

    Intel DP55WG Motherboard

    HD4850 1GB Graphics Card

    4GB DDR3 Memory

    500 GB Hard Drive

any advice would be helpful !!

For that hardware, any decently branded 500W will do the job just fine.

not many reviews of it about, but it seems OK from what I've seen if you've got it for nothing it should do the job, failing that buy anything decent branded over 500W
