  • Rebuilding the Old faithful

    Hi All

Been upgrading bit's n pieces here and there for a few years or so and have a fairly decent (for what I want anyhow) build

    Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 5
    Asus GTX 760 DirectCUII
16Gb Corsair Vengeance something or other
2 Hard Drives, 3 SSD and 1 optical
PCIE 4 port USB3 IO Card

I have a well aged Corsair TX650 PSU but as I'm retiring the NZXT Hades case (leaning towards the Fractal R5), I'm wondering what Fully Modular PSU you folks recommend please, (might be swapping out the 760 for a 970/980 if funds allow or just add a second 760 soon so please take this into account too)

Aye 3 SSD, the ocz Vertex I have won't run an OS properly, 2 complete reinstalls and i was still getting Freezes due to the SSD 'going inactive' is the best I can explain it, so replaced that with 128Gb Evo 850 back at the start of december, the 3rd SSD was my MMO and WOT games drive (much less loading times), vertex works great as a download drive and unpacks winrar in a flash tho.

@Marsey99 - ta, will take a look at those
