  • All of this enough for a 650W PSU?

    Morning peeps!

So, ive just recently upgraded my PC after a cash influx, but im not sure if the power supply is enough for it all? Could you let me know?

    Components:

    Gigabyte GTX 780 Windforce 3X
    Samsung 840 Evo SSD 500GB
i5 2500k (will be overclocked soon)
    Corsair H100i
    3x USB ports constantly used
    4x 120mm case fans

Im currently using a Corsair TX650 Enthusiast.

Im expecting it will be ok as its quite a high end PSU but thought id get a second opinion

    Thanks!

        Hi Sully!

I agree, it will be fine. I run a 620w in mine with an i5, constant USB ports used, extra fans and with the system as displayed in my sig and have never had any issues, though I don't OC in my system.

650w will be powerful enough to run and hold it steady. I did ask about OC'ing and strains on my PSU when I bought the parts at Aria and the guy behind the counter was vehement that the PSU would easily cope with the OC, in which case, I would imagine yours would also be fine as you're using a 650w.

        Hope that helps!

i used to run a 2500k and sli 560s on that psu dude.

it would limit my oc in sli but it still worked fine.

1 card, it would max the cooling out and oc like stink without even breaking a sweat, stock it was also almost silent running sli too.

more than enough for those needs imo
