  • Could I use either one of these 1U server PSU's in my build?

    I'm using a Lian Li Q25B case with a 5Ghz 3770k and a R9 290.

I'm using my Corsair RM850 ( Which will be sold ) but as the case is so small I'm looking at other power supply options to give me more internal space for my water cooling radiators.

After looking at the EVGA Hadron I decided to look at 1U server power supplies and I've found these 2 power supplies that I think have the power for a single GPU and have a high enough amp rating in the 12v line.

    Here's the specs

    +5v 30A

    +12v 40A

    +5VSB 2.5A

    -12v 0.5A

    Plugs

    5 x SATA, 40cm - 60cm

    1 x 24Pin, 45cm

    2 x (4 Pin + 4 Pin) or 2 x 8 Pin EPS, 1 x 35cm 1 x 45cm

    Weight 1.55Kg

    PSU 2

    CERTIFIED 80 PLUS

    Rated Watts 600W

    Peak Watts 700W

    D*W*H 220*100*40mm

    Input 100-240v 47-63HZ

    Output:

    +3.3v 20A

    +5v 30A

    +12v1 27A

    +12v2 27A

    +5VSB 2.5A

    -12v 0.5A

    Plugs

    4*Molex-4Pin: 350mm - 650mm

    5*SATA: 400mm - 600mm

    1*24Pin: 450mm

    2*(4 pin + 4 pin) or 2*8Pin EPS: 350mm - 650mm
Would any of these run in the system OK if I use molex to PCIEX power adapters?

Does anyone know any 1U PSU's that will work?

I ran a 4770k at 4.7ghz, overclocked 290, 16gb ram, 1 mech hdd, 1 ssd, h100i, 3 case fans, 5 usb devices of a 550w ocz zs. so you should be fine with 'psu 2'
