  • BitFenix Fury PSU.

    Hi forum.

The new Fury PSU has been announced today and I am sure Aria.co.uk will be listing the item available soon

The OEM is FSP and based on the Aurum platform.

The PSU is semi modular with only the 24pin attached. All, the rest are individually sleeved just like our Alchemy cable extension range.

The sleeving goes all the way into the connectors for easy bending etc and cable management.

The only one that does have heatshrink is the molex.

    And finally the cable lengths,

Big boxes! (or is that guy really tiny?)

Who's actually producing the internals? - second vid says FSP which isn't bad at all - not quite up to Seasonic standards but I've had some great FSP low end PSUs over the years it's a name I'm inclined to trust.

As usual with BF it's the accents and branding that look top notch... I like the braiding, fan grill and silver disc thing, powder coated too. Wrap all that up with a 5 year warranty (and what I hope will be) a competitive price point and I'd say that Bitfenix have got a solid product there

Not seen the prices, but gold and modular always command premium.
Nice to see some clear labelling of cable lengths and individual rails unlike some manufacturers who seem to try and hide that info

            *braces for prices*

550w 99.95, 650w 115.99 and the 750w is 129.95, I will stick with XFX, first time I have ever said that, but the make awesome PSU's. that is what a competitor has them at.

Ouch! 550W is 20 more than the Corsair RM... I hope they're more competitive shortly after launch

Oof! Lets hope Aria can get a better deal - Would be going with a Corsair RM or the newly in EVGA Golds at a saving of about 20 if it were my sponds.... Need to knock a little bit off that price to catch my custom. Still no denying they look very nice.

The launch on the site is 16th of may, so someone might wake up and smell the coffee by then lol, claiming the braided cables cost a lot of money so hence the price.

I can definitely see those braided cables having cost a lot more than either the Corsair or EVGA PSUs. If you were going to do that anyway, it would cost you a heck of a lot more than 20 for some braiding to do an entire PSU, around 50 minimum in fact (based on when I did it years ago).

Corsair for example charge an extra 65 for a braided cable set on top of the price of their PSU's so the Furys price is good.

Have nothing but great praises for FSP internals, had dozens of rock solid PSU's from them before, so will be keeping an eye on this.
