Psu blown?

  • Psu blown?

    500w cooler master psu with a10 5800k not oc.
    just bought corsair h55 and 2x corsair fans and installed into case.
    boot took about 5 mins but didnt get to desktop.i cut the power and pressed power button to turn on.nothing!!!
    no power no fan spinning.nothing!all i can hear is a high pitched whine when plugged in but no change when power button is pressed!
    what do you all think?

    Yup sounds like its blown. Can't say we predicted it in your last thread

        I confirmed it was probably faulty, so best bet is to return it. I'd say that was pretty helpful.

        Just hope that it hasn't fried the rest of your PC components.

                          well I'm glad it's working again,,
                          Had a similar issue a year ago,, almost gave me a heart attack.

                            haha thanks.was installing a h55 and having trouble.getting to the end of my teather lol just realised i have snapped the sata connector on my os drive lol
