PSU blew out?

turned the psu off (button at the back) this morning, no reason tbh - got back home, turned it back on and something blew up. The was a flash in the psu. No idea what might have caused this ;/ never had any issues. So I turned it back off, after a minute or so I turned it back on (no bang), turned the pc on, and everything seems to be fine. I haven't tried to play any games etc

any ideas what this might be? Should I RMA it?

edit: the pc is connected to a belkin power surge, everything connected to it was/is still on

nope, I connected the cable before turning the PSU on, I've heard many sparks at work, this was definitely a bang. Sounded really similar to when you pop a paper bag full of air

Other than visually checking yourself there's not really anything you can do.

Unless you try and run something and the PC turns off.

edit: running prime95 now - hopefully it'll stay on

thanks, unfortunately that's not an option as my card is getting RMA'd. Got some tiny gtx 210 inside

been running prime for 19 mins and it's still going strong

But yes id rma that, something definitely went wrong, better to rma than have it fry out most of your computer in a few weeks
