    Hello,

I am looking to buy the following components for my new build as the current model has decided it does not wish to play anymore, whereby I would be grateful to understand if anyone can see any obvious issues with the suggested build spec if i use the following items, before I proceed with ordering them:

    Tower:
    http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Compo...roductId=44451

    MoBo:
    http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Compo...roductId=49261

    GPU:
    http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Compo...roductId=53054

    CPU:
    http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Compo...roductId=49758

    PSU:
    http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Compo...roductId=43907

    SoundCard:
    http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Compo...roductId=46534

    Optical Drive:
    http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Stora...roductId=50406

Parts I can't find on the Aria Site:

    Corsair-CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10-Vengeance-Performance-1866MHz Ram
    Intel 2.5 inch 520 Series Solid State Drive (240GB, SATA 6Gb/s, 25nm, MLC) 2 Off (480gb)

If there are any alternate suggestions or ideas, I would appreciate them.

    Kind regards

    Jay

Very solid choices there for an excellent rig

    RAM-wise I would suggest the following : 2 x http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Compo...roductId=52474

Any reason you want/need 32GB - which the Corsair code seems to indicate ?

    SSD :
    256gb, crucial M4 : http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Stora...roductId=53159
    or Vertex 4 : http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Stora...roductId=49268

    500gb : Vertex 4 (out of stock) :http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Stora...roductId=52870
    or Mushkin : http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Stora...roductId=49035

    All excellent SSD choices.

If there's specific items you're after, then it's always worth dropping sales a call, explaining you're putting together a very high-end system, and asking if they can source them for you, or an alternative quad-channel 32gb kit

Also thinking Z77 vs. X79 build as it looks like the RAM is for video rendering/3D modelling?

        Hi Spaceboy

Thanks for the feedback, it is appreciated.

The reason for the RAM, to be honest is a bit of a test to see if it makes any difference - which if anyone has experience of running a system with both 16gb + 32gb RAM, I would be appreciate some insight as to the differences - be this positive or negative, as it will save me from making a mistake.
With this - when you added the link to your suggested RAM, were you referring to using 2 sets ofthe 16 (net result 32), or were you suggesting using just the 16gb RAM?

The vertex SSD's look good, so worth a look. What are the opinions on running one or two drives, as I was looking to have one for the OS etc, and general day to day things - then thenother was to house movies, music, photos etc?

Thanks again for your input here.

        Jay

Unless you use really RAM intensive programs (After Effects springs to mind!) then there's going to be bugger all difference between 16GB and 32GB - especially if you top out at 8GB

Get 1x SSD, 1x large capacity mechanical drive. Maybe two of the latter for redundancy

Was suggesting 2 ram kits = 32gb, but it depends what you're going to be using the system for.

SSD for O/S, apps, and a few games then a standard HDD for movies/music/photos etc
