    Found an 6850 but checking if anything else is available.

    There is a low profile 7850 apparently.

    What do you mean by half height, exactly? Half the PCB real estate or a single slot cooler (dual slot being the norm)?

      I would have thought he meant low profile...

      And if you can find one ( only released in Japan if I remember ) but there was a guy selling them on the Bay

                Great, thanks. Will check it out. Had a 450 previously which got quite noisy and hot but would expect the 7850 to behave better .-)

                    The card will probably run cooler than a GTS450 so it should be quieter.

                      Would have thought an exhaust type cooler would offer better overall cooling (would also cool the case).
