  • Slight noob requesting building help.

Hi, I touched down into the computer building scene recently, and I have a customisation ready to buy. My only problem is I'm worried if I have goofed up (like I usually do).
I'm sure it'd all work together (fit correctly, have enough power etc.) but I'd like someone to help me run through it and check if it'll work.
    Here is the list:

mATX motherboard, so either get an mATX case or a normal ATX motherboard - I'd suggest the latter Also, that PSU isn't the best, look at a Corsair or beQuiet! 500W unit
    Corsair 600T | Asus Sabertooth Z77 ATX | Intel i5-3570k | Corsair H100i | Corsair Vengeance LP Black 16GB | EVGA GTX670 2GB | Mushkin Chronos 240GB

Strictly speaking you don't need an mATX case for an mATX mobo... you can use a mATX mobo in a standard ATX case, it'll just look a bit small

Agreed on the PSU, 500W Corsair or BQ would be much better imo.

Also, I know it's more expensive, but I know I personally hate monitors at 1366x768... a decent 1080p isn't that much more : https://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials...roductId=52192 The extra pixels are worth it if your budget is a little flexible

I personally also wouldnt bother with Win 8, at least not yet. But that is of complete personal preference and has no real bearing to the actual build.

I defo agree with Spaceboy on getting a 1080p monitor.

I thought that about Win8, but if OP is upgrading from XP (not 7) then it's probably worth grabbing

Okay, I took into account what you said, and I have adjusted my build accordingly:
            https://www.aria.co.uk/myAria/Wish+L...ublic&listId=2

            I prefer smaller screens
            EDIT:
            @Spaceboy
Yeah, I am upgrading from win XP
EDIT2: Another reason why i',m getting a small screen: I have a small table

              2nd list not public there

Fair comment about the monitor - some people see 19" and assume it's bigger than the old style 17" 1280x1024 monitors whereas in fact you're getting about 30% less pixels or thereabouts
