  • Wish List

    Hi guys,

I have this wishlist, does it seem reasonable?

    https://www.aria.co.uk/WishList/t-bYwCm6dtmuNLZsSmu5VA,,

I chose Ryzen, as I need multiple cores, as I game, and have a need for my plex server to be running too, sometimes upto 5 transcodes at the same time.

I'm happy to listen to alternatives though, either for components or the complete build.

    TIA

I'd drop the OTT water cooler and go for next CPU up, or 32gb ram, bar that looks good!

I would advise you to buy a new hard drive rather than the one you listed as it only has 6 months warranty.

You get two years with this Seagate for 10 more.

I would also change the Ram to 3000MHz - 3200MHz as Ryzen likes fast Ram.

What power supply are you going to be using ?

You could also go with a cheaper cooler as Ryzen runs pretty cool compared to Intel CoffeeLake. A Cryorig H7 for example fits in most cases and is very good for the money, although they are not stocked by Aria.

If you don't plan to SLI then a B350 board can also save you some cash. The Asus Strix B350-F would be my suggestion.

Depending on which cooler you go for you might need an AM4 bracket.

haha, took too long to get a response, so Id actually bought it (buy now pay later)

coiler, cooler is as its going to be on 24/7 and will be overclocked (another reason for the AX370)

lee32uk chose the HDD as its an extra to be fair. and the memory as it was what was max rated, so assumed that was my limit. Hopefully will be ok anyway.

The PSU is a XFX Pro1250 Black Edition
thanks for the advice though guys, reassured that the changes were minimal

Bugger, so found something that states probably won't be able to fit the cooler.

So I may need to try and get it swapped
