  • Little tip: Replace old DSL microfilters

How old are your DSL microfilters?

Mine were working ok, but many years old (probably over 10 years old).

As we are doing some renovations, I decided to replace all my old microfilters with new ones, just cheapo ones, 1 each inc del from a popular auction site.

Added 10 mbps to my internet speed!

I installed new "BT" wall sockets with filters built in and two separate sockets for phone and broadband. A tidier solution.

I have a cable modem, much easier and much faster.
My local hospital has a sign which reads "This way for accidents and emergencies." Haven't people in hospital got enough to worry about without looking for further misfortune?

Cable modems aren't really an option for those who live in non cable areas though!

Why not install an NTE 2000? The microfilter is built into the socket that way so less susceptible to damage and much neater to look at
