any news from biostar about an update for the bios?

only if thats its weak point its something that will be soon fixed as it does seem to tick a lot of the boxes

        tidied it up too

The overclocking wasn't fully down to BIOS I don't think, it was more to do with the fact that the memory wasn't in place correctly hence the errors on LinX. Using lower profile memory should fix that.

Also the X264 HD results are still off, the ASUS result should be 35 for the second pass, not 42.06.

This was already fixed. I think you need to refresh or clear your cache.

              It's fixed now but wasn't earlier .

Something interesting I've noticed about the board is that Biostar likely placed the memory slots closer to the CPU socket to reduce the trace length and thus the memory latency. And the results seem to support that. In some ways, it's very similar to my Rampage III Extreme where ASUS placed the memory slots closer to the CPU for that very purpose.

Thats one pretty mobo, argh still trying to skip this gen and wait for the next set. Maybe if AMD sort their lives out the competition will come back and prices will dip a little

                  copypasta error:
                  Lucid Virtu MVP page:
The GD65 has HDMI/VGA/DVI ports to allow connectivity to Intel’s IGP with support via Lucid VIRTU MVP. What VIRTU does is – it allows the user to utilise both discrete GPU and Intel's IGP (built in graphics on the CPU) without the need to change hardware or switch the outputs.
Same on all the other Z77 reviews except Maximus gene...
