  • 1155 P67 Mobo's getting Ivybridge support

Just noticed my mobo (TP67B+ Ver. 6.2) has a new bios update to allow Ivybridge 22nm CPU's. Awesome that these older boards are getting Ivybridge support, should last me all of 2012. Great support from Intel and Motherboard vendors. This lil mobo only cost 80, 4.8GHZ overclocked and Ivybridge support. What a bargain!

Won't be long till Ivybridge now...

Only 4 CPU Phases + 1 as well, just goes to show you don't need a really expensive board to reach good clocks.

all 1155 will support ivybridge if the mobo manuf releases a bios for it, just like all 2011 mobo will support ib-e

however there will be a new chipset for ib on 1155 when it comes out with more onboard features.

I think it was around September 2010 we started seeing previews of the P67 motherboards.

I'm hoping by January we start to see engineering samples of the Z77 motherboards, as quite a few websites are saying April release for Ivybridge and hopefully Z77.

Indeed. I'm sure ASRock will, eventually, have an updated BIOS that supports Ivy Bridge CPU's (but knowing ASRock, may not be as fast as others)
