If I update my Asus Sabertooth X58 BIOS will all the settings return to default?

Should I reset the cmos after the flash and then reload my settings?

if you flash the bios you will lose all saved settings in the bios mate yes, you could write down what is what on a piece of paper and use them again once you update it tho

      Thanks m8

Do I have to reset the cmos after the flash? I read somewhere that you should.

Its not essential but it won't hurt. I would go with the paper option for settings.

I always reset cmos after a bios flash, to clear the decks so to speak. You could do screen captures of your bios screens and/or print them out

I always reload the defaults before flashing... don't know why, but it just seems to make the process a whole lot easier
