  • Pick my mobo!

    The one thing I still don't get are motherboards and its new computer time. Used predomiantly for online gaming, rpgs and some rts.

    My current setup is:
    Intel Conroe Core 2 Duo E6400 OEM 2x 2.13 2Mb 1066 MHz LGA775
    XFX Geforce 7900GT 256MB PCI-E 256bit, GDDR3 Dual DVI-I HDTV Mfr# PVT71GUDFR
    Crucial 1GB DDR2 PC5300 240-PIN CT12864AA667
    X-Blade MIDI Tower Case Black CAS-449BK
    250GB Maxtor D/Max+10 133/7200 16M Lead Free RoHS Replaces 6B250R0
    Mitsumi Floppy + Card Reader Black
    Microsoft Windows XP Home OEM SP2
    NEC ND-3550A 16x DVDRW DL Black

    But what mobo to get? or any other changes you'd suggest?

    Seems to be a favourite amoungst the Core 2 users and highly rated apparently.

        I have recently bought an
        Abit AB9 PRO i965

        Not had Much of a chance to play with it yet, but have had my E6600 Overclocked to 3gig

        I went for this board for the SATA , it has 9 Internal and 1 External

        BTW for the Extra 6 quid I would go for the Retail E6400.
        You get a Heatsink/Fan and a three year Intel Warranty

            I agree always go retail on the CPU for the extra that it costs the warranty is worth it alone
