  • Going from Dell u2711 to 2715

I'm thinking about replacing my 2711 and going to the 2715 to save some space on the desk and mainly due to the amount of heat the 2711 produces. Does anyone here have the new 2715? Does it produce as much heat as the previous models? I'd imagine not since its led but just want to make sure

Not exactly the same... but I had a U2410 which output enough heat to power a small home, and switched to a U2713 and it's ice cold in comparison.

I can only assume they've got even better with the ...15 revision.

I believe U2715H is the direct replacement for U2713HM, the mainstream monitor. See:
        http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2715h.htm

The direct replacement for U2711 is U2713H (no M).

been using the 2715 since friday afternoon and I'm very impressed. For starters it doesn't get hot at all. Loving the slim bezels although I think dell could have made them even slimmer. My eyes don't get as tired after the whole day either. Great buy, might go for a 2nd one too!
