Hi there,

So I've recently been looking to upgrade my current monitor (a Asus VE228TR- https://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-VE228T...ct_top?ie=UTF8) to a higher spec gaming monitor. I have been primarily looking at 24" at 1080p with 144hz refresh rate as I love to play fast paced shooters (CS:GO, Titanfall, Apex etc).

I am mainly looking at the Asus VG248QE (https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/...onitor-vg248qe) or the Asus MG248QR (https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/...onitor-mg248qr) as I am quite happy with how my current Asus monitors have preformed. However, I'm finding it difficult to find a reason to pay the extra 70 for the MG other than its newer and is easier on the eyes. Am i missing anything glaringly obvious with this one?

I have seen similar options such as the AOC G2460PF (https://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-G2460PF.../dp/B01BV1XBEI) and the ViewSonic XG2401 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/ViewSonic-X.../dp/B01A0ZRR50) but generally prefer the atheistic look of the Asus equivalents as there is no major difference between them (I think?).

Any clarification on the two Asus' would be very helpful and much appreciated!
