  • EEE X101CH weird touch pad issue

Got an EEE x101CH I have had in for a virus clean.

Just about to sort out the return of it and it's "developed" a strange issue

The synaptics Touchpad only works on battery...

The buttons work on the charger, but the touchpad doesn't

unplug the charger it works perfectly.

Boot from usb to WinPE same issue.

The PSU is a non standard one...

    Any ideas?
I am not losing weight! I'm getting rid of it. I have no intention of finding it again!

Sounds like a faulty psu to me.. Or something earthing/not earthing when it should/shouldn't be.

We've had exactly the same issue at work. We've also had touchpads that go crazy when plugged in.

Swap the psu and it sorts itself. The only problem comes if it's an internal power issue..

Much the same as seems to be reported over the net, but just wondered if there was an alternative fix.

I will let them know there isn't!
