Great idea for a feedback thread Nelly - I've had a bit of experience in direct RMAs so can provide my feedback

Gigabyte have, in my experience, by far the best warranty service of any AIB - extremely quick turnaround (usually under a week), good communication and are willing to take a look at things even if they aren't strictly covered by warranty (for instance changing the stock cooler).

MSI are pretty good but you have to pay a £25 charge IIRC for testing, even if it's not faulty. If it is though, the £25 covers repair charges.

EVGA seem excellent - their CS was good though haven't had to use them to do an RMA yet (turned out GPU wasn't faulty).

Gainward are hit and miss - I think it was GW we called up as they weren't responding to e-mails about a direct RMA, and they did arrange one eventually.

My housemate and I have a contact at TUL (Powercolor) so it's unfair for me to write them off. On the surface they don't look like they have a direct RMA service, but if you have any trouble I may be able to help out (at least while I'm at uni).

XFX are utterly useless at direct RMAs - even more annoying when you know they have excellent service in the US. Avoid at all costs.

Sapphire weren't interested in doing a direct RMA with us, they force you to go through your retailer.

All the others I don't have experience with or will refrain from commenting on

+Rep, good info everyone should have...

I've never had cause to return a GFX yet *touches wood* but RMA'ing an MSI board was fairly painless, Corsair RMA (to Freemont CA) took it's time but was well worth it - 2GB returned/4Gb received back.

Would be very interested to find out what KFA2 are actually like as I've been eyeing their cards for a while now.

Aye theirs nothing worse than having to be without a decent graphics card to play your beloved games because your card has gone for RMA for weeks and weeks.

By the looks of things Gigabyte does have the best RMA procedure, I think I would go direct to them even if it's within the first year of purchase, saves going from retailer to manufacturer to retailer to you, plus 3 years warranty is nice.

Id think the seller would deal with RMA or the importer(wholesaler) for PowerColor.

Correct, retailers go through distributors for Powercolor, ENTA being one of them. Protip: never worth approaching a disti if you're an end user.

                              excellent info, many thanks.

looks like Gigabyte, KFA2, MSI, XFX and Zotac are the only ones UK based and Gigabyte has the best turnaround time.

well, now i know which brand to go for next: Gigabyte.

i think BFG turnaround is around a week from what i've ready during 8800GTX days. presume it's still the same amount of time for KFA2.
