    • ah, i get you. so as a way to show a dude is cherry picking his facts to prove his point you do the same for yours?

i get the point that adored is making. everyone can put forth data which sets out to prove/disprove anything with their testing. it is easy to add weight to any data stack you know

but not what i was going to post xD

but now, after more thought i guess that is a derail for this am4 thread as this is going to be something bigger, something more like am4+4

      • AOTS have optimised their benchmark for Ryzen going from average 68 fps to 93 fps 36% gain at 1080p.

          shameless Ryzen 5 post.

I am aiming to get an article written to collect together tweaks/ info about how to get the best out of Ryzen soon, seems like there is a lot of people still bashing, but oh well. XD

The 1600X looks like it will be the better binned CPU, but considering its value/ potential for both gaming an creation, a 6/12 CPU is actually a very interesting offer. Regardless of anyones view on Ryzen, I have been using it now for over a month and I have to say that despite the teething issues, every update it is getting better and better. The CPU market needed this. Intel have brought forward the release of X299 in response, and have announced that (cannon lake seems to have been pushed back again) Kaby Lake S (10nm) with a powerful iGPU will be coming sooner too.

AMD need to be ready as Intel are going to be working very hard to outpace AMD.

New Intel chips are rubbish, they bringing out X299 starting at 4 core upwards. The 4 core only gets 16 lanes of pci-e and has high TDP for what it is. Pay more for less? Ryzen pay less for more No brainer, just get the Ryzen.

                • I meant Kaby lake G...

there are still rumours that AMD could release an ultra top tier platform based on the server parts if the market calls for it, but who knows atm, lets just get the current things running optimally.

                  • All that AMD need to do is refine the CPUs so that they can hit higher clocks. They're already ahead of Intel in so many ways...

                    • Overclocking is one of the more disappointing side of Ryzen, if they were able to hit 4.5GHz, the way that the cache and performance scales will be pretty immense

                      • they aint selling the good bin yet. they don't need to as these are hitting the points they needed to smash.

what will intel do when they start selling their hepc platform?

i cant wait to see dual socket desktop mobo with modern features again
