My Q6600 used to play Metro fine at 40fps, albeit in 1080p, not 1440 or 4k. It was at 3.5/3.6ghz though.

Mine plays Metro Redux above 40fps too, so not sure how accurate those benchmark figures are

Just though it was worth throwing them out to show the purported maximum gains of upgrading, when in real world use its not actually as good as the benchies would have me believe.

I would hazard a guess and say they are all at defaults so no tweaks whatsoever... But I don't know of many that have a PC and don't tweak it in some way....

What he means is, his monitor dates to the 1920s, and it has 1080 pixels (in total).

Its not even a monitor, its a crude looking sheet of something you could possibly refer to as what the ratrace call paper, and a quill, with a pot of inky squid juice.

It's a wall on the cave and a piece of charcoal.

He's trained one of the local monkeys to wipe the pictures off and sketch the next frame really quickly.

It has 12 ms refresh time. They don't call it monkey-second for nothing

                        He only does 60hz though.

...after 60 frames, his fingers hertz...

Wow, my CPU gets second or third on alot of those benchmarks. Considering its 4 years old now, well happy with that!

The Sandy Bridge CPU's where brilliant I wish I had got one over the 920's I had, but always learn too late!!
