Alright guys, I've got the laptop currently in my sig which is great but I miss having a desktop again. my friend is interested in my laptop and I already have a 250GB SSD to go towards a build. A friend has a 2500k, P67 MSI GD80 and 8gb Kingston 1600mhz hyperX. Is this still a good setup? I'd clock the cpu to 4.5-4.8 and pair it with a good GPU/PSU etc.

Would like to start mining in the next month or two and play some games such as Titanfall/BF4.

I think it's similar performance to my laptop CPU but then I can OC it. I had a 2500k ages ago and was happy with it.

Yeah 2500k at stock will still play any game.

The boat has gone for Doge though really, little return unless you have R9 290 and even then some have made a loss on here buying stuff to mine, only those who put in a lot of money or were there at the start have made anything.
