I'm guessing this has long gone now RawZ?

Any chance of getting in some AM3 socket Athlon X4's?

No love for Xeon CPUs and suitable motherboards ? There must be a pretty big margin on them so even with low volume you would make some coin.

Excellent, do you know what price it will be coming in at. Also will you getting a suitable motherboard, I did read it has its own chipset.

The 1155 Xeons can/should run on any 1155 board, it's just an Ivy Bridge.
Although a BIOS may not specifically state its compatibility.

I am wary, all the reports I have seen of people using the 1230v2 in a consumer motherboards are with asrock boards.

Most 1155 motherboards will work, just check to see if the chip is supported in the bios.

                        Iirc it has hyperthreading?

Awesome performance at an i5 price bracket.

Its basically the i7 3770 without the graphical die. It runs cooler and has a lower power consumption too!

I've ran one on a Gigabyte H61 board that doesn't list it and a cheap Asus H61 board.

Yes to hyperthreading. Its basically a 3.3GHz i7-3770 without the integrated video.

Damm, looks like a 16GB memory limit.
