  • Cleaning..

My case is a mess, I usually use those sprays to clean it but was wondering if there is something better. Is there a specific hand held vacuum? Basically what do people use to give your internals a good clean without having to dismantle everything?

I use a foot pump for a blow up mattress, in combination with a soft brush.

Same here. Tempted to get a small compressor instead of the foot pump though...

I just bought a compu cleaner and it now takes 30 seconds to air dust my pc lol, not the cheapest but it works great.

I've used a DataVac for the last 5 or 6 years. Cost me about 70 but it's paid for itself many times over.

Its a mains powered blower and doesn't hoover like it's name suggests but it comes with 3 different nozzles to adjust the air jets strength. It also has a filter that cleans the air going into the datavac, so your not adding dust to whatever you clean. I clean all my electricals with it.

so, i'm the only one swinging their pc around their head outside then?

if it's a smoking house, parts need stripping down and putting in the dishwasher much more often.

I normally strip down my PC twice a year to replace the coolant clean/replace hosing, flush the radiators and apply some fresh thermal paste so quick fix cleaning doesn't really apply to me.

I'll be doing it this coming bank holiday and will replace my PSU as its getting a bit noisy and constantly spinning up every few minutes when the PC is idle.
