  • Small, cheap and quiet fan for AMD 8320

Hi all, the cpu fan that comes with the AMD 8320 is seriously a jet engine, and it's totally unbearable.

Can someone spec me a cpu cooler that would fit on here https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Comp...roductId=51949

Looking for a quiet one that won't break my bank, and one that's easy to fit please.

    Currently looking at this: https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Comp...roductId=56092

Seems like it might be okay?

Is it the AMD heatpipe cooler that you have?

If not it might be worth trying to looking out for one
I am not losing weight! I'm getting rid of it. I have no intention of finding it again!

I'd guess that is the one, as it's the one AMD ship with all their CPUs these days... The only thing they're good for is a paperweight, or maybe for drowning out the sound of planes landing if you live near the airport...

What sort of price and size are you looking at MB? The Hyper 212 is only 24, but it might be a bit too big? Any of these should probably do the job though:

Just make sure they're rated for more than 125W and you'll be laughing (Freezer 13 - 43268 - is rated for up to 200W apparently, not bad for around 20).

Well that one is very quiet...

I assume you've got coolnquiet turned on?

I've had 4 or 5 of them, and they're loud as ****. Admittedly that is with C+Q disabled... But C+Q reduces voltage and clock speeds causing performance issues. I'd much rather just have a quieter fan in there instead.
