  • **Resolved** | kodak fd3 lens retract or no?

    https://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials...roductId=49961

Weird question but I can't find any reviews and none of the pics show the "off" position.

Does the lens part stick out all the time or does it retract and kinda go in to be flat when off?

Planning to do lots of travelling on coaches next holiday with it so it will probably get knocked about a little.

Almost doesn't mean what you think it does?

Unusually, it's not Smarties that have this answer this time, it is the user guide:

http://resources.kodak.com/support/p.../FD3-UG_en.pdf - shows the lens retracted

Most cameras do, obviously stuff like DSLR's, bridges etc don't. I had an old olympus camera which had a sliding cover over the lens.

Didn't think to look at that, seems to have dozens of modes but they seem to be pretty standard.

Just don't want to get that 1 in 10,000 camera that the lens doesn't retract and then it just gets knocked to bits.
