  • Mobo Request

I am in the hunt for a mobo for my rig.
It's a pretty easy decision for me to buy everything from Aria. Except the mobo.

Considering the gtx-460 is the GPU of the moment and is awesome in SLI, 1156 sockets with SLI are hard to come by at Aria, only 2 with the cheapest around 150. WIth the USB3 and 6gbps

Quite a steep price (well for me anyway) and it's not like i'm a traditional cheapskate. Mobos such as the Asus P7H57D are available from rivals which offer SLI at prices nearer the 100 mark which is an easier price to swallow.

I assume i'm not the only one looking to use SLI in my rig as I can see the 460 is a popular card everywhere I look, so just a thought

I'm also looking in to this over the next few weeks... well, either 1156 socket or AM3+ but definately SLI'ing the 460.
The mobo prices are seriously putting me off going intel atm.

It's a shame, I know on here there are others in the same boat as us, hence this thread.

Originally I was on AM3+ but switched, kinda stuck now though.

      There must be a solution...

I was looking at those a couple of days back.

                    No SLI though

                      There is

                      USB3 version.
                      Old school version.

Edit: It even says SLI support above the first PCI-e x16 slot.

No why, I'm not going to recommend you something that doesn't meet your original requirements.

Ah, is that the free usb3 bundle on the site for preorder?
Probably got lost as it doesn't say SLI in their spec!
                            It do SATAIII?

It seems the only bundle Aria do is the USB3 one which is currently on pre-order.

                              Edit: no native SATA6Gb/s however.
