I would like to connect it to the motherboards DVI-I port.
But due to the analogue pins a direct connection cannot be made.

Any one know where I can get a short DVI-D female to DVI-I male cable?

The only one I have found so far is a y cable, I would sooner just a short single cable if possible.

Or a female DVI-D to Male HDMi cable would work too.

Hi all,

I represent AOC in the UK managing the distribution and reseller channels, my background is QDI (for any oldies!), Gigabyte and PNY, I have been working in the IT channel mainly component manufacturers for the past 14 years and I have been with AOC for just over 1 year.

I will do my best to login regular and answer your questions directly from the manufacturer, i am not looking to hide, hence my choice of name, please feel free to PM or post on here under AOC model or AOC general question and as mentioned, i will do my best to reply in a timely manner.....As i spend most nights in hotels, this shouldn't be a problem!

AOC are trying to push this into me. What are your thoughts. I'm not sure because of the BenQ XL2411T coming in at £230...

Rough price £259.99

AOC has announced a new high-end gaming screen set to hit the highs of a 144Hz refresh rate in its latest 24-inch monitor, the g2460Pqu. We’ll see it hitting the e-shelves later this month and with the latest high refresh rate TN panels we’ve seen recently – creating serious competition for the cheaper end of the IPS panel market – I’ve got a feeling the g2460Pqu could be a great gaming option.
The super-high 144Hz refresh makes everything buttery smooth on-screen – there really is a tangible difference moving up from the base-rate of 60Hz. The only difficulty is going back to a 60Hz screen once you’ve used a 120Hz+ panel for any length of time.
The move towards these impressive TN screens, with their high refresh rates, is the only lasting legacy of the failed introduction of stereoscopic 3D gaming – it gave us excellent quality TN panels that we otherwise wouldn’t have seen in the gaming market.
Going up against the likes of the VG248QE, AOC is competing directly with Asus’ headline-grabbing 144Hz spec – something we haven’t seen from other monitor manufacturing competitors. And given that AOC is looking for the screen to hit the shelves at around £250 it’s coming in a lot cheaper than the Asus panel.
The only slight snag is BenQ’s excellent XL2411T. It may not have the key 144Hz stat, but it’s rated at 120Hz out of the box and during testing I was able to tweak some graphics settings to push the BenQ screen right up to those heady highs. That screen’s retailing at around £230 right now.

Let me know please!!!! Thanks

Hi folks,

I've always been a single screen type of guy, but having spent some time with Windows 8 I can see the virtue of having a second screen. Just a few things I would like to clear up.

First of all, what would be worth getting under £200? Needs to be 23" to run alongside my current 120hz 23" screen.

Also, does having two displays effect fps when gaming?

As in, when you have the metro interface on one screen and a game playing on the other does it reduce performance a fair bit?

Cheers

Having changed yesterday from DVI-D to Display Port, It got me wondering how other people connect their monitors.

I only changed as I no longer use the DVI KVM and when my PC is switched off, the KVM has a bright green light that flashes constantly and illuminates my whole room. I had the option to just use the DVI cable directly but I was curious on how DP looked - needless to say, it was much easier to connect :thumb:
