Hi,

My computer has been experiencing boot loops, originally i assumed it was the PSU, however after replacing it I discovered that that wasn't the problem. Secondly I returned the motherboard, hoping that it was the cause, but after 8 months of waiting for customer services to return it I installed it today at I am still experiencing boot loops.

I have since removed the hard drives, the GPU, tried corsair and G-Skill ram in every avaliable slot to no avail.

Please any help will be appreciated, Thanks in advance!

So I have decided for my next build I want to overclock and thought it would be best to buy the case and water cooling equipment and then buy hardware to fill it over time!
Obviously being new to water cooling I think I will have made a few newbie mistakes and would greatly appreciate some advice from the more experienced users on here, so here is what I have:

Case: NZXT Switch 810 - I really like the look of this case, If anyone has any other suggestions I will happily listen but it needs to be spacious, and white!
CPU Block: EK Supreme LTX Nickel CSQ - Only a CPU block ATM, current GPU is the Sapphire 7950 Vapor-X which AFAIK uses non reference PCB so can't find a block for it :(

Radiator: XSPC EX360 Triple Fan Radiator - Will be mounted on the top of case

Pump: 12V Alphacool Laing D5 Vario Pump VPP655 - This pump doesn't come with a top as I planned on replacing it with the below

Top: EK-D5 X-TOP CSQ - Plexi

Fittings: EK-PSC Fitting 13mm - G1/4 E-Nickel - Quantity x6?

Hose: Masterkleer PVC 1/2" ID Blue 3.3m - Hose either blue or orange depending on what looks best :)

Out of all the things I am possibly missing, I purposely left out the Reservoir as that is the thing I am struggling with, Ideally I would like a cylindrical reservoir, but again I am unsure.

Thanks in advance guys - Jay

Spec is in profile :) I am interested in 46803 AeroCool Touch 2000 5.25" 4 Channel Fan Controller - Black. I have 1 pack of 50717 Corsair Air Series AF120 Performance Edition Twin Pack (Two fans) that will be push pull on H55 but I also have 2 other 120mm fans that I want to run. I have 3 Zalman Fan Mate 2's that I am not happy with. The problem is Corsair Fans are 12v @ 0.13a and I can only speculate as to the other fans, but the AeroCool Touch 2000 is rated at 6v per channel. Does this mean that if I connect up my 4 fans to individual channels, that they will all run ah half speed? From what I can understand if the fan is getting half the voltage, it would fun at half speed? And the fans wouldn't be able to run at 100%? Thank you in advance.
Hi everyone - looking for some opinions on a few things.

Hi everyone - looking for some opinions on a few things.

Currently I have 3x 3TB Western Digital Red SATA-III drives plugged into 4 SATA-II ports on my Motherboard in an Intel RST RAID5 array. Needless to say I'm less than satisfied with the performance I'm getting... file transfers always seemed faster when I had individual Samsung 1TB drives.

I'd love to have the money to purchase an LSI controller card but unfortunately I think my partner would kill me if I was to spend that sort of money. I have been thinking though about getting a fourth WD Red drive and going the way of RAID1+0 instead, for better performance.

Specification wise, the Startech 4-port PCI-E SATAIII RAID Controller (PEXSAT34RH) seems perfect for my situation. It claims to be a hardware controller card, though I would imagine given the price that this isn't entirely true... I am unable to find any reviews on this product so was hoping somebody here might be able to help me. I'm interested in discussing the chances of losing access to my entire array due to the controller card failing (and if I could simply buy another identical controller should this happen), whether it can cope with the job, how much something like this is likely to slow down my CPU (if it isn't entirely hardware-based RAID) and whether it would be any better than using Intel RST built in to my motherboard (Asus P8H77-V LE, should it be of interest).

http://intrl.startech.com/Cards-Adap...ard~PEXSAT34RH

I've always been skeptical of products like this, given the huge amount of information out there regarding RAID arrays... not to mention the vast difference in opinion when it comes to the benefits of HW vs. SW RAID configurations. Hope somebody here has some specific advice that can help me make my mind up. :)

Had to send off my corsair headset for rma and getting sick of headsets always breaking so and thinking of going for separate headphones and microphone for mumble when gaming. Already got some fairly decent headphones I can use but need a mic, not sure whether to go for a clip on one or one that would stand on the desk/shelves slightly to one side. Am thinking that a clip on one might be a better idea to avoid a lot of keyboard noise coming through the other end but not really sure. Recommendations would be awesome so I can start to get an idea what to go for, price wise I would probably be looking to spend around £10 though could stretch that a reasonable bit if it'll get a good mic that'll last for years. No need to read between the lines,...

Is it just me or are the forums becoming used by this new reviewing site as a launchpad to create something?

No need to read between the lines, I'm talking about the number of members from here "promoting" the venture they are attempting with Play3r. Straight up, straight talking, it's starting to get right on my nerves that every other thread seems to promote something that's trying to drive traffic and ultimately revenue to the site. As forums, we've had this before and it got canned pretty quickly once it became apparent there wasn't a mutually beneficial agreement in place.

Just me who's feeling it's taking the mickey to do it quite so much, I don't think I've missed some form of official announcement of a relationship between Aria the business and Play3r the business, I normally get told of those as they result in a forum for contributors of the linked site to post in a controlled area with a set of guidelines about what is an acceptable mutually beneficial link. I suppose it wouldn't be quite so bad, but on a couple of articles I've had a serious sense of I've read this before somewhere.

And no, this isn't and off the shoulder, DT is grumpy as working over the B/H - it's been mentioned in mods room, I'm hoping to resolve it out here, in the open, get a sense of what the community thinks before we have a similiar situation to before when the business makes a decision the mods and me can do very little about.

So, I'm not just asking for play3r people to respond, seriously asking everyone if it's as noticable to you as it is me and others who have mentioned it, either in passing conversations or in the secret place where the mods have hidden the hob-nobs from me :)

DT.
