What could another monitor have that this one doesn't....

2ms responce rate!!
1920x1200 Resolution
20,000:1 Contrast Ratio
HD Ready

In my eyes its a GOD of a monitor (but I'm usually wrong) :p

It is a very good screen and i was thinking of getting two myself

The thing is i saw this (http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Displays/Monitors/TFT+24+%2B/24%22+Hyundai+W240D+Professional+LCD+Monitor+?prod uctId=28720), and its better

marsey99

well it could have a bigger screen, or a higher resolution or better specs for contrast, brightness and a higher hz but for the price its a lot of screen :D

i still want that 28" hanns g but im too poor :(

Tis approaching double the price though monkey. So you could almost get 2 of the iiyamas, depends what you want it to do though i spose.

Slightly better monitor...but simply not worth it

Its more than slightly better, still i have to agree, is a little pricey

Shedlife

Its more than slightly bette

Actaully looking at it, ok so its 2" bigger but the 22" has a 20,000:1 contrast ratio (thats where is all at when in HD) compared with the 3,000:1 of the 24"

£138 more for a 2" bigger monitor but with 17,000 less contrast ratio = FAIL:thumbsdn:

Trust me when i say you wouldnt notice the differnce in 3,000:1 to 20,000:1

Nothing over 3000 is noticeably better

Only 6 case fans I am afraid. plus 3 on one graphics card. 1 on the other when I use it. 2 on the northbridge. 1 on the southbridge 1 pcu. 1 power supply.
That's 15. Have to update my sig.

Some pics of my untidy wiring and some fans.

I have a television contrast 1200.1 Dynamic 8000 and the blacks look pitch black. Beautiful picture. They are now talking about 2,000,000.1. Pointless!
I agree totally with what you say. The human eye is limited to noticing a difference.

Tidy job wonderlust very tidy indeed. I normally get it up & running before I do the tidying, mind you this build I couldn't be bothered so it's still a total mess lol.

Might get round to it some time soon but my young son has taken a huge chunk out of my gaming time so any free time I get tends to be spent playing rather than tweaking.

NFT99, does that fan on the bottom make much difference? I never thought of doing that before but looking at it it makes sense drawing the colder air in that way.

On that note, I also tidied up my PC interior the other day, could do a bit better, would like to find out about modifying cables to any length and orientation...

That was i wouldnt have such a mess, basically it would be easy as hell if a few cables were shorted and a few were longer :P

For example

....................___CDROM
....................|
....................|
_____ ...........|
|psu.| ..........|___Docs
| .....| ..........|___OS
------_______| <<< This power cable is a pain in the *** cos the connection between the HDD's isall twisted no matter how you have it, and then the ramaining cable to the CDROM is slightly too short, The sata cables for the HDD are about 3 times as long as they need to be, and the fan cables and sensors are everywhere!!! :P

Ill post pictures soon just to show you what i have to deal with :P

Nifty

I tend to just fold wires back on themselves if they are too long and secure with a ziptie.

With wires that are too short you could get extensions I suppose. Or do some warranty voiding rewiring work, but I wouldn't advise that at all.

coiler
28-04-09, 09:50
i think it would be great if 2"-4" Sata cable were available, my HDD are so close to my sata ports its a pain trying to hide 30cm of cable.

Nifty
28-04-09, 10:06
I just feed the excess cables round the backplate of the case and back out again. Shorter cables would be good, less resistance = lower error rates, no?

mac124
28-04-09, 10:07
you can certainly get 15cm sata cables i would link to them but i don't fancy a ban ;)

jonwoad

Exactly, my main problem is the length of the sata cables and the fan powercables which connect to my fan controller, each wire is about a foot long

Also, the 6 pin mobo plug is about 2" too short to hide around the mobo :P
