View Full Version : Overclock My 4.6Ghz
got my 4.6Ghz :D
anyone got nifty programs and a guide to overclock it?
its running at 2.4 stock
200 x 12
how do i increase the multiplier?
and if i change from 200 to say 220? things on the p.c went super fast and i couldnt double click my computer to open it :(
any 1 help please?
p.s any good programs to monitor the speed and temp?
okay thanks man
yea this is so much faster than my last comp :P
pc monitor only shows cpu speed, core and cpu load :(
i wana see temps etc
4.6ghz?? I assume you mean amd64 4600??
What motherboard you got? Most mobos come with some sort of monitoring software these days check your driver disks or failing that check the manufactures website for utils for that mobo.

and motherboard = http://www.biostar.com.tw/products/mainboard/board.php?name=NF4ST-A9
also the board has a XGP slot and it dosent work with my X800 Radeon 256mb AGP Card
so if u have anyway of flashing bios for it to work i would be truely greatful
it shows same for me :(
but without temp :(
this sucks
on the actual programs if i go to settings etc it shows temp there
just not on the desktop so i assume its in the correct place
[quote:6162f7fadd=\"ÈL ® ö B ì Ñ\"]I use PC Wizard 2006 to monitor it....nice lil green display top right of the desktop.
Personally after messing around with overclocking etc I don't feel it's worth half the time or effort.....then again if I over clocked even slightly, BF2 would crash after about 20mins of play, and I'd rather have a stable computer then one running almost unoticably faster.[/quote:6162f7fadd]
What Rob means is he can't get his PC to overclock, so tells himself he'd better off without doing it ;)

Half true, my Gcard is overclocked.
CPU won't work great, I put that down to my crap motherboard though (asus have let me down :( )
1 thing though....Know how to fix your mistakes before you overclock, I had some knowledge on how to fix if it all went wrong, make sure you do too *just* in case.[/quote:a451af4b49]
This is true. If you decode to overclock be prepared for things not always going how you want, you *could* fry the whole system :)
wel if i change the bus settings from 200 x 12
to 220 x 12 it goes great :D
and theres an extra 240Mhz

Sniff....Knowingly weeps after that comment....I just fried my main board, after clockin a 2.5 to 3.1....lasted all of 3 weeks fairly decent heatsink and fan combo too.!
So...yeah as that bloke says on Hill street blues...\" Be careful out there!\"
Regards Mighty...
