Confused
You send an e-mail
You receive an e-mail back with spam in it
Delete mail
What makes you think your machine is infected? Is the spam present in your outgoing or sent items?
What e-mail client do you use?
Might be that they have your password for the hotmail account and are sending emails without there being a virus on your PC.
If you are sure your PC is clean then I would change your password to something that is at least 8 characters. A non-dictionary sequence of letters, numbers, and symbols. Write it down if you can't remember it, just don't write down what the password is for.
You also need to change all your secret questions and answers etc.
Can you add a warning in big bold red or something not to click the link as it likely is full of nastys.
My guess is you should change your passwords as its not on your pc but is able to login on your email.
I use a similar setup and them anti viruses and stuff should get most of it.
Sounds like the people you send emails to are infected? If you are getting a reply from them with the spam in.
i normally use Spybot to check my system takes a while to scan your drives but it normally finds things your Anti Virus doesnt

sorry about the confusion, its not spam mail. I do delete my email if it is spam...what im trying to say is ...say for instance I send you an email what will happen then is you will continue to get emails from me even though ive only sent you the one email and contained in that email is some **** trying to send you an link to make money, but by this time your inbox will be infected and when you send an email to any one else they allso will have the same message continously sent to them. I am useing incredimail
thanks ill try using an different password
Added after 2 minutes:
thanks
Are you sending emails via a mail program like live mail ect, or via webmail in your browser? If using a program try via the web interface.
so other people only get spam mail from you when you send them a email?
most infections like this will send to every one on your contact list.
change password and scan for key loggers/spy-ware.
