Its 22:32 on sunday and its SNOWING!!! :) has been since about 4 but now it is sticking
Its just been floating in the air since about 1:30 in Devon... Not really falling tho.. At least its cold enough to snow tho, so there's hope! :D
Here in Norwich, we have a weather warning out. It's been on and off all day though. Not all that heavy, but it has settled a bit. Apparently tomorrow is set to be really bad.

about 3inches of snow in manchester :(
Couple of inches in Cambridge, sadly the buses are still running :(
the snow has given stockport a good covering today!
This is how winters in the UK should be, constantly cold and snowing a lot LOL with red hot summers
I have got about 6-7 inches of snow here, its fab.
I have... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My girlfriend who lives less than 6 miles away textd me when she left this morning, saying she has a load of snow.. Stupid weather... :(

Enjoy.
What I don't get is why a few inches of snow brings the whole country to a standstill... I know its not very often that it properly snows here, and so its not worth investing in the infrastructure to cope with something that happens once every 5-10 years.. So yes, I can understand the motorways, and I can understand the other roads, and airports...
But how did the snow shut the underground?!!!!!! Did they shovel it down there so they didnt feel left out because they were able to stay operating?!
lynx i like a lot! that is deep :)
hopefully manchester will get another unloading of snow tonight, deeper than ever !!
Snow whats that? Its just wet here :(
That has to be the most crippled looking snowman i have ever seen :P
It's the Abominable Snowman!
We finally got a bit of snow! :D :D
Front of the house - little bit concerned about the driveway in the morning as its a pretty steep slope onto the road! Although we do have our own supply of grit which we've had to use a few times!:

And I tried to do an arty long exposure shot of the garden in the complete pitch black.. Came out very orange (note the collapsed plastic greenhouse thing, which finally died after much wind, and then snow..)

Looks like more of a covering then manchester considering you never get it LOL
It's all gone! Bright blue sky today. Still cold, but all the snow has left the ground now. I can see grass. Of course, after the snow comes the big thaw, when it all hardens up for a bit so you slide everywhere, then it melts and causes floods of biblical proportion, and being right at the bottom of a valley, I might have to get the ark out.
Mostly gone here too... Although I went on a non gritted road today.. I had SO much fun! :D :D Never thought i'd be able to drift in a 1.1
I hope it starts to snow again, but for months though, would be amaising!
i concur, winter should be 3 months of snow, summer should be 9 months of 100 degrees!
Definitely concur on the 3 months of snow.. Although, I think i'd prefer a 24-25 degrees celcius in the summer ;)
yeah think I may have been a bit OTT on the temp in the summer there LOL
Snowing like mad here in derby again. Must have atleast 5 inches of snow, roads are covered thick all the way to town :D
its snowing in manchester again not much though :) a very light covering this time
Got approcaching 6" here so i have decided to take the day off, can't get the car off the driveway and even if i could the roads haven't been cleared, living in the sticks has its benefits sometimes.

No snow here, plenty of rain over night and more due :)
BORING!!! This sucks, i can never say to work its snowing so i cant come in. I walk to work and it takes about 7 minutes! I cant exactly say the roads are too slippy Plus, everyday its snowed so far ive had the day off anyway
I managed to get the bus to work easily enough. Although one guy in my office who gets the exact same bus as me claims the service has been cancelled and so he can't come in to work.
I sense a sacking in the pipeline!
Well, we've had about 3-4 inches in the last 2-3hours.. And the council havent gritted ANYWHERE! I live on the main road through the town, and its 3 inches deep in snow and like an ice rink.. There are cars crashed all over the place, mine is stuck down some lane somewhere, and theres not a chance its moving!
Main Road into my High Street - AFTER 4 gritters have finally been past.. Too little too late I feel..
http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w19/adunne_2007/P1020941.jpg
And my attempt to get into my driveway - The way I was coming from means you have to turn almost 180 degrees back on yourself. Slightly scary moment, as I got a little way up still turning, and then slid all the way back down again in a straight line into the road  I then gave up and walked in.. (This is before I had to go out again and got stuck  )

no more snow in manchester
Still snowing heavily here!

Ive not driven in it as i dont want the slush getting up the pait of my car:mrgreen:
Well i made it into work today, gave it till 10.15 then deicded to come home as it was still snowing heavily, took me 90mins to cover a little over 5 miles due to closed roads and 3 jack knifed lorries trying to get up hills.
I've got a meeting about a website this afternoon.. Up a really steep hill, and then down the other side
Not expecting that to be a quick journey either!
Good call on going home tho :D
No such luck for us NHS workers, I was forced to stay until 5pm :( Tax dollars at work I guess?
