First game ive had which either has audio bugs or doesnt like my Realtech onboard sound.

Ive been against soundcards receently as onboard has come onto such a high standard.

Has anyone else had this sound bug where it skips a bit of speech or loops the music with slight lag now and again?

I have an Audigy I can drop back in system if peeps reckon this will be superior all round?

Mobo is Asus P5Q-e

I didn't have a problem and I am on the same board as you.

Are all your sound drivers fully up to date?

as alex said, check your sound drivers to make sure they're up to date :D always a good thing to check, and that could be why, you can get some sound cards in the £20-£30 range that even beat onboard audio which is incredible for the price given how far onboard audio has come

I miss my old realtek chip on my last board. The Soundmax chips don't even come close :(

Yeah amazing for the price and if you like your games loud then you'll realise that even though onboard has improved its still miles behind a semi decent add in card.
