View Full Version : Just for fun Poll: Michael Jackson's Doctor Conrad Murray - Guilty or Not?
Nothing about Michael Jackson is straight forward - even after his death it seems. The Jury is soon to deliver a verdict on his Doctor, Conrad Murray.
Which way will the Jury go?
Personally - I think he might just get away with it*
* This opinion may be subject to change without prior notice, probably straight after the official verdict is announced.
Not Guilty of giving him the injection, guilty of malpractice though.

This..
A blame Janet Jackson, she seems to have been laying low for a while now...
Moved to serious, But still just for fun:thumb:
Everyone that was close to MJ had trouble saying no to him. He was infectious and always got his way.
The doc is not guility in my eyes but should have done more to help him.
what IS going on then simon?
I blame the man himself Micheal Jackson tbh..... He wanted to take drugs for whatever reasons, and he took a dam lot of them.
TBH i dont think the doctor is guilty.
I dont think they are going to be able to prove the doctored injected the drug, but will get struck off for using the drugs outside of a hospital
We will find out in 37 Minutes!
I still dont think he is, But the USA is so biased towards MJ that he didnt stand a chance.
Was it not like 8 out of the 12 were fans? Stupid idea.

I think he was guilty, too much detail not given, and too long to call for help.
A drug not used out of hospital, and Jackson had it in his bedside table?
He may not of administered the drug, but that doesn't make him any less responsible, the fact that even his own defence witnesses seemed to help dig his hole won't of helped though.

It was not a fair trial and never could have been, let alone the amount of pressure the doctor must have been under to help him sleep etc, also if MJ wanted that medicine and did decide to administer it himself how is that the doctors fault, similarly you can understand his panic, he knew he would be found guilty, that for me accounts his lack of surprise and the fact he would not testify, I hope he does a short term.
Also the fans reaction outside of the court was disgusting, they see him as an evil man and that MJ could do no wrong.

Because the medicine should never have left the hospital and it was Conrad that not only prescribed it but allowed out of hospital grounds. This medicine should only be administered under constant monitoring by a specialist anesthetist afaik.
That in itself is negligence (professional, or criminal) and after that the matter of who actually administered it is almost moot.
I believe the "involuntary" bit was because they couldn't prove who actually administered the dose... and without that proof IM was the "fairest" verdict.
Propofol is a short-acting, intravenously (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intravenous_therapy) administered hypnotic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypnotic) agent. Its uses include the induction and maintenance of general anesthesia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_anesthesia), sedation for mechanically ventilated (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mechanical_ventilation) adults, and procedural sedation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Procedural_sedation).
I read that as it being a "general anesthetic" ie. one designed to knock you out for major operations under suitable monitored conditions... not for use at home.
Don't think he was guilty, but I believe he should have been struck off
