I am new to these forums and i am a virgin media customer, I have a few questions i would like answering. Well first of all I hear people talking about 20 MB to 50 MB...? Does that mean my current 10MB will go to 20 MB? Because the aparent 4 MB going to 10 MB "The L package" I thought the L package was 10 MB??

Second of all i hear people talking about chipped/hack cable modems... Could someone expand on this for me and my virgin modem? What does this enable me to do? Get faster speeds? or be taken off the traffic managment list??

Also 50 MB i would hazard the guess of having around 250 - 300 Kb/s upload going off the packages ive been on:

2 MB = 24 Kb/s Upload
10 MB = 60 Kb/s Upload
20 MB = 90 - 120 Kb/s Upload
50 MB = 20MB + 20MB + 10MB?
120Kb/s 120Kb/s 60Kb/s = 300Kb/s?

First post :)
