Ordered a new computer http://www.aria.co.uk/Systems/Gaming+Range/Gladiator/Gladiator+Evolution+H20+Intel+Core+i7-2600K+3.40GHz+%40+4.60GHz+DDR3+Gaming+PC+?productI d=46343

Never had a system with a SSD before. I was wondering which is the best way to go about setting it up for the first time.
I presume the most used programs should be installed on the SSD.
I asked for windows to be installed when built.

Your input would be welcomed.
( i posted in here but if in the wrong thread could you move it the appropriate place please )

SSD's are only small, in your case you have quite a big 128gb one.

Only the operarting system and often apps/games you use can be installed on them.

Everything else such as music/videos/all other files are to be put on the HDD used as storage.

This way you have the operating system on the SSD so windows responds very fast and so do your games/apps you have in use and everything else is on the storage drive and doesnt really need to be that fast anyway.
If you do have games or apps on the storage drive you can switch them around with the ones on the SSD for when your not using or playing them.

Pretty much what's been said :)

There's some good tips in the SSD install sticky in the storage section of these forums :)

Some really useful information in that thread Murf.
By not installing one myself I over looked it. ( I need to look into some of these threads a bit more closely rather than just the title )
