a friend gave me these instruction to connect to our other computer in the house which has a printer so i don't have to move my lazy butt off of this computer.

Guide to Tie up a printer connected to another computer to be wireless.
************************************************** **********************************************
XP ( M$)
1st) First on the computer with the printer attached via usb, Go to Start>Control Panel>Printers
2nd) You should see the printer, right click> Sharing
3rd) Next check share and keep it the default name

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vista Computer ( The Computer you want to wirelessly print to that printer)
1st) Go to Start>Then type CMD and then enter
2nd) From there in cmd type> Net View
3rd) From there make sure you see that computers name under your network
4th) Type net use \\*Computer's (file://\\*Computer's) Name
5th) It should say enter username and password, Enter it, Than a folder will pop up.
6th) A folder with printers will pop up right click> Connect
but when i go under this computer "the vista one" i type Net View under the Command prompt and it says the proper services aren't started. earlier i have done alot of disabling service that i wont need etc... to increase performance in my maching etc..... i was wondering if i could get a list of the services required to connect to the other computer?
Talk about complicating things! In Vista just got to control panel and then printers install printer then search for it on the network. Then install it. That's what i do and it works for me.
Was gonna say, although, wireless printers are a pain in the ***!
Have to deal with them at work and guiding someone through a tiny printer display that youve never seen can be quite tricky
