I have 2 Samsung SH-S203D drives on my pc, an i had some problems an had to reininstall windows, but now these drives appear to be missing, it says drivers may be corrupted or missing an now they simply dont work, when i open my computer nothing appears but the hard drive an floppy drive and inserting a CD does nothing, i think reininstalling the drivers would work but cant seem to find them, i had a cd with it but when i try to run the driver setup it says this application aint compatable with my version of windows, which is vista home premium 64bit, but they worked before any ideas what could be the problem or how to fix this?

what mode do you have the Sata controller in? AHCI/Raid or IDE?

The sata controller can be set (depending which chipset you have) different ways in the bios:-
IDE mode is compatible with the most hardware
AHCI is an advance mode that enables features like hot plugging and ncq.
Raid allows mutliple drives to show as one.

its most likely IDE then any way i can find out? will that info help?
Have you opened the case at all? Could possibly be that their cable has come loose.
