Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB problems

I presume this is a dud unit, but may as well see if anyone knows any other tricks. When I go to format this drive, it freezes at 4%. A quick format however, works fine. Yet when I fill the drive up to about 4% of its capacity, the computer freezes again. The diagnostics also show a error code 6.

I'm guessing there's a bad sector or something?

Try downloading Samsung ES tools from their website and give that a go. If it shows up as a fail RMA it.

Should I RMA it with aria or samsung. i've had it since November so the 28 day guarantee with Aria is up now.
