I have to go through this process every time I re-install so I thought I might post it here in case anyone has the same issues.
If you use a Logitech mini-Bluetooth adaptor (say for example the Di Novo series) and you want to pair a bluetooth heatset or handsfree earpiece you'll often find that Windows 7 doesn't/can't install drivers for it..It will try, asking you to "Apply this fix" maybe as many as three times in a row after you troubleshoot the device but it will fail.
so here's the fix:
download and install the Widcomm BT Stack from here: http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php
This will totally kill your Bluetooth settings through Logitech and also, probably due to driver conflict, not actually work anyway...no matter.
Next reinstall Logitech SetPoint.
Then uninstall the Widcomm Stack using Ccleaner
Restart PC
Swap over the Logitech adaptor to a different USB port....All your device pairings should return.
Add your headset and check the headset tick box in Bluetooth Services.
Done.
it's a totally illogical and bass ackwards way of doing it and probably only relevant to one in a thousand people but I thought I'd share, simply 'cos it took me so long to find the workaround.
Not sure whether this fix works with BT products other than Motorola or with other Bluetooth A2DP dongles even, but it won't hurt to try.
