Hi all,

I am having problems with this pc, it BSODs with no peripherals attached even reinstalling windows doesn't solve the problem. I wondered if the pc is unstable with the overclock. Technical support costs a fortune to ring and sending it back under warranty is a bit of a problem cus I am off to uni in one day, I wondered if anyone here was able to aid me in how to test running it without the overclock?

I would really appreciate any help, I love this pc but don't know whether I HAVE to send it back or if I can solve the problem without voiding my warranty.

Thanks greatly

Go into the BIOS and check the saved overclock profiles, there should be 2 with Aria in the name.

If those exist then you can happily load the defaults up and test again - this will tell you if it's the overclock that's the problem.

The overclock profile can then be reloaded if need be :)

Occasionally the cpu cooler can come loose in transit, might be worth checking that's secure, or if you can get it booted to windows, download CoreTemp or RealTemp to check the cpu temperatures :)

Thanks, very much :) The CPU is running at about 83 degrees according to the system which I thought was quite high? Thanks for the quick response too

It's quite high - yes - but I *think* it's OK. Is the cooler securely attached to the CPU? CL are very good at loosening stuff! If it is loose you probably just need to attack it with a screwdriver.

Thanks, I am usually good with pcs but I'm not so great when it comes to the BIOS and fiddling with parts, wish me luck haha if not Ill just risk the money and send it back let them do their business make sure it works. What a kafuffle typically the day before I go to uni this problem really starts getting bad. Oh well

That does sound too high and would explain the BSODs.

Cooler will need re-seating imo.
