hi, i have ordered from aria nvidia geforce gtx260 216sp.

runs Crysis everything on MAX, but when i play games, from the card is coming NOISE which is annoying...capacitors squealing when under load, maybe it is!

it is really loud on Crysis, not that loud on other games which i tried: COD4, WAW, Dead space...but still...

any suggestions?

The fans are probably screaming along trying to keep it cool on such a demanding game

Mine doesn't make any noise, my 8800 used to make a bit of noise.

For the record the only noise capacitors make is BANG when they blow up. Inductors squeal.

I know your a "pc builder" and all but have you plugged in the two 6pin/(one may be 8pin) connectors? :O:redface::P

well, yes i did :P:O:redface:

have a look:
This tale speaks of a company that makes great chips, but also has a serious design flaw: PCB design. As long as story about “Built by Nvidia” components was told, there were isolated cases of “squealing”. This squealing is caused by vibration of copper coils, and is not present on products designed by people that take attention at these things. Read: if your card has Digital Voltage Regulation Module (DVRM, as Iwill originally called it - Digital PWM is more popular these days) or all solid-state caps and shielded chokes, no sound should be produced. But, if your part has coils or non-shielded capacitors/chokes, you could be “enjoying” in squealing sounds of electronics!!!

One of the power supply leads may not be making good contact or the power supply faulty. Cards scream if they don't get enough power. Have you checked the voltages when the games are at full tilt?

Sometimes, its mainly old people, our company is called home it support... but it should be called oap support.

I had a guy call in the other day that had just built him self a new pc and hes been building and working with them for years.

I remotely accsessed his pc to fix messenger... avntivirus and why his 4 8800s wouldnt work and why his pc only told him he had 3.5 gb of ram when he swore he paid for 16...

And thats a typical "pc builder", imagine the ammount of "PC's" hes built for people

swap the 6pins around, or try a molex to 6pin converter on one then the other to rule out a possible faulty 6pin PCI-e cable!

One 60GB and one 120GB, whats the point of such a system with no storage??
