Hello and thank you for looking at this post. I am having a very large issue with my Gladiator Warbird H20 that i received from Aria on Tuesday this week which is quite upsetting as I bought this as a replacement gaming rig.

At first everything was fine installed windows 7 64bit then the asus mb drivers (Ethernet etc.) system running fine restarts fine then I install the nvidia drivers from CD for the EVGA 560 ti, everything seems fine the system restarts to complete the installation. I update direct and everything else install steam and start to d/l my games and again everything seems fine. Then the nividia display driver goes unresponsive and recovers and ever since it is doing this ever 30 seconds to 1 minute which renders the computer usless to do anything. or if i watched a youtube video after a couple of seconds the video will crash and the pc will follow this happens every time.

so after a restart the pc would not get past the windows log in screen. so i determined that the problem was with the Nvidia drivers (i think) so in safe mode i uninstall this and restart. everything loads fine without the drivers i test youtube and everything that made the pc crash with the drivers and the pc was fine there is no issue with the PC when there is no nvidia drivers installed on the system.

I have tried every version of the drivers available For my card with the same results frequent driver time outs and blue screens with errors about the graphic drivers.

after a hour away from the pc (powered off) i came back to try again and now it will boot in safemode but with nvidia drivers installed it will not boot past the log in screen there is a instant bluescreen with a error about the display drivers. (also the blue screen has artifacts (glitches) on the blue screen also)

Sorry for such a big post but i need this sorting as it is a fresh install of windows 7 64 bit with nothing else but drivers on the system and it is crashing every time.

I need advice on this as im not happy spending my money on something that i cannot use any information would be great even if I need to return the system to you i dont mind but i need this sorting. As i have a PC that i cannot use.

i would recommend phoning up customer services and explaining the issue mate. You will get a lot quicker service!.

Is the cpu overclocked?

thanks for the reply, yes it is but it is the overclock provided by aria.

Ring up Aria and explain the situation, definately sounds like the graphics card.

You could try reseating it (taking it out, checking there's no dust, and replacing it)

Cheer for that bud I will have to try this when i get home from work tonight. I will try and ring them on my dinner hour.

Definately sounds like a driver issue.

If you are happy to play around yourself then I'd suggest running a driver sweeper (http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/) to clear any remnants, then download the latest drivers for both the nVidia card, AND the motherboard... There could be a problem with the PCIExpress drivers in theory.

If that doesn't work, uninstall the NVidia drivers, sweep again, then try older drivers.

You could also try loading a default bios profile to check the overclock isn't causing the problem (ARIA overclock profile should be saved in the BIOS so can be re-loaded).

Failing that, it might be RMA time :(

Good luck :thumb:

Thanks! again i will try this but also will see what aria say. everyone's input is great! but like i say it is the fact its a clean installation with nothing else on the system which seems odd to me.

As above, it's definitely worth downloading the newest drivers from the 'net, personally I very rarely use the driver CDs which come with hardware, they are almost always out-of-date within days of being pressed to CD.

Yes i have tried all the drivers available (last night) for the card off their website the problem is still the same, cheers for the reply:)

Ah ok, cheers. Well, as spaceboy said the first thing I'd do is reset the BIOS to default and remove the overclock (you can always reload the aria profile later).

If you're still having issues after doing that, and you have reseated the card and you're happy that everything's connected properly, it may well be the graphics card at fault. Always good to call our CS team though, I'm just a web-developer who happens to have a lot of experience building PCs, those guys deal with this stuff daily.

its sounds driver related, they fact you say you've tried using more than one version adds to the problem, Generally speaking when you unistall a driver , many files are left over, jumping between versions makes it worse. You should download drivercleaner. and try running that then install the new version for Nvida sites.

The est way is to reinstall windows though, grab the latest nvida drivers and stick on a usb pen/dvd . Skip the cd that came with it and install the latest version. if you have the same issue its more likely a hardware problem though. In which case you would have to return the card or the whole unit I suspect

Incases like that it would be nice if Aria could send a new VGA card out and pick up the duff one on the same day. Of course they would have to be certain it was faulty!

he's already said that he has reinstalled windows and still the same problem mate.

I reckon a faulty GPU, altho the advice of reseating the card is a good one

No he didn't ,he said its a clean (first) install, now full of multiple conflicting nvidia files

:scratch do i need more coffee

yup your right mate, think i need more coffee..

so its now a clean install with nvidia drivers installed? did it crash before you installed the nvidia drivers?.

Hi yes I may not have been too clear I have tried a full re install of windows and then the latest drivers. Im going to try some of the things suggested tonight but if not ring aria tomorrow and hopefully sort out a replacement, or send the full system back for them to repair.

No the system works fine with no nvidia drivers on it. i have tried all available drivers and it crashes. but when there is nothing to do with nvidia installed on the system it runs fine and does not crash

could still be the gpu then, as windows only loads generic vga drivers as default, which would mean probably that reseating the gpu isnt going to help. Sounds like a faulty card to me. worth a shot reseating it tho.

what psu is in this system just out of interest?

This is the system:

a corsair tx650 should be fine.

What is it overclocked to currently? 4.6ghz?

Andyhud

i persume so as that is what is stated that aria overclocked it too. When i get in ill restore this to default profile and try a fresh install see if this solves the issue

Wow could someone help me with this i went to take out/reset my 560 ti which was suggested in this thread and noticed that a different more inferior PSU has been fitted to what i purchased in the pre made system.

the power supply listed when i bought the Gladiator Warbird H20 was a

corsair tx650

but they have supplied and fitted a cx600

does this mean my problems are to do with not having enough power for the gpu and the over clock aria did? as the one fitted is less wattage than the one meant to be in the pre made system i ordered??

anyones help as i dont understand power demands would be great :) but im kind of annoyed iv been given a cheaper less powerful psu than stated in the pre made gaming system! they will be getting a nice phone call tomorrow

Spaceboy
15-09-11, 18:49
My guess is the PSU should be okay, so I doubt it's a power problem... however I would definately get that replaced is it's not what you purchased :(

I'm sure there's a good explanation but sounds like a lack of communication has occurred to let you know about the change.

gmunday
15-09-11, 18:59
they gave you a cx600 instead of a tx650? i would definately be calling them up and asking why and why they did not tell you this!.
